The leader of the nation has decided to undo the state of The Palms and declare it as an anarchist nation, dropping all governments from their positions, including himself. From today on, the official name of the nation will be renamed to Palmeria. Even though all governors were dismissed, one rank in the former monarchy still remains, which is the Palatinus. Palatini will, from now on, be known as a special independent authority in Palmeria established to maintain the green spirit of the nation and to teach Palmerian ethics. In Palmeria, anyone would technically have the freedom to do anything they want as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. The new anarchist system is intended to be libertarian. However, the council might not always be democratic, when it comes to changing core issues, which are listed in the issues list. For example, even if 90% of the people in Palmeria agreed with animal testing, the Palatini wouldn't stop invading animal testing laboratouries and imprisoning the ones responsible for the suffering caused. This is because it is a basic element of the Palmerian spirit. Another example, often discussed, is human genetic engineering. While somatic gene therapy applies to personal freedoms and medical advantages, germ line gene therapy goes beyond personal freedoms and is therefore not only against core Palmerian ethics, but against freedom itself and the human race.

Background:

After the establishment of National Palmerian Aeronautics (NPA), experiments with hot air balloons took place at the embassy. After these experiments failed, Denis Jaimes gained inspiration to fly to the heights using a Palmerian made aircraft. Currently, Denis Jaimes is interested in hot air and gas balloons intended to lift himself at least 50 m high and have new experiences. Those dreams had two types limits; economic and legal. The legal limits were the ones that disturbed Denis Jaimes the most, leading to the abolishment of governments in The Palms, which is now officially called Palmeria.

A group in facebook was created with at least 45 members (although most of them are not fully recognized as formal members of the project) showing support for the new country project. Unfortunately, we were only able to give GreenPeace 5NZD (4USD), because of Denis Jaimes' limited use of his credit card, which he apparently doesn't own. We hope GreenPeace appreciated the single donation we made for them and that it should not be taken as an insult but rather as a way of showing support and doing anything in our power to help them cure the planet. In the other hand, we, are also going to take action and cure the planet.

The Holy Kingdom of The Palms now lays claim to a 0.3km2 area close to Playa Varadero, in Chichiriviche, Edo. Falcon, Venezuela, which is a position where we are planning to build an island as our first pre-2012 attempt to gain independence. This secession movement should not be taken as a symbolic treason to the country, but rather as a fight against the governments.

The Palmerian Revolution was initiated last month, seeking independence from the internet and encouraging development and promotion of the nation.

A new blacksmith is being built in the Palmerian embassy to mint new coins made out of recycled aluminium to create an economy in The Palms.

8th of March, 2008

The grave of Phobos is being rebuilt after its mysterious destruction. It will be six times bigger, and the statue of Phobos will be made out of aluminium, which will be expected to be finished at the end of this month. A new recruiting video of The Holy Kingdom of The Palms will be released today or tomorrow, including the political ideas of the micronation and future plans of our territorial claim.
